Place is unassuming. Yeah, like any other eatery that is adjacent to a supermarket. But this was bloody NOICE!!!! Plus-- I was starving like a mofo and the offerings at the little food court just wouldn't cut it. Either that or I was in mood for Oktoberfest ! I don't remember. Place is cool! Causal. They have small plates. Food is quite good. An unexpected surprise. [If given the choice between this or that Wood some pizza joint, I'd pick this! Hands down. Mainly because it is self-service. But they do bring your food and drinks to you. And you don't have to wait till your beer gets piss warm to place another other. Which pisses me off. Like totally. Or worse you want another drink. Because lack of service.] Food is quite good. Presentation rivals any other eat-in restaurant being it is part of a supermarket. Matter a fact surpasses even some. Makes you really think-- How can those restaurants fig things up being they specialise in FOOD service?! Makes you (me) think. Tacos are more then enough for one, but I eat for three and half people, so I could've gone for more. I had Braised Beef and Sweet & Spicy Crispy Chicken. Think that's what it's called. Both were fantastic!! Would've gone for fish also, but not sure about the fish they used. Mahi mahi and I do not get along. And I wasn't about to play Russian Roulette. Next time you're around these parts and you're thinking of food or heck a drink (because traffic does that to me) -- Pop in, have a taco or four and chillax! Later,

Very nice small place attached to the Whole Foods Market in Metuchen where you can have a drink and meal before or after you go food shopping. I prefer before so I don't binge shop because I am hungry. They have happy hour specials at certain times where the margaritas are $1 off. I've been here twice and had the nachos both times because they are memorable. They come on a half sheet tray so the nachos are spread out and toppings are placed all over. Queso, black beans, radishes, cherry tomatoes, cotija cheese, cilantro, scallions, and crema. No fresno chiles for me thanks. The queso is very mild which I love top it with a fresh cherry tomato and that's my favorite part of the whole meal. I ordered with chicken once and it didn't really add to the whole meal so I don't mind getting it without chicken again. The margaritas are good. I've tried the blood range and pineapple mint. The thing that changes my experience here is the way the service is set up. You order at the register on the side. I don't know what it is but when paying with card it takes forever and a day. They need to work on that. I don't know if it's the internet or that it's a restaurant but Whole Foods gets paid it takes SO long. Also I get confused about the bar concept. You sit there and I expect to be able to order drinks but I've never been taken care of there. They just gave me the order and that was it. Why have a bar if you still have to go to the side register and place your drink orders, unless it's allowed I just never knew. These things will not stop me from going back since I love the nachos.

They stay true to their name "Comida Fresca" which means "Fresh Food". Definitely a million times better, fresher and healthier than Chipotle and Qdoba, this is definitely much higher quality food than these two chains and most local Mexican restaurants. The good: the Baja Fish Tacos so, so good! You won't be disappointed. Also had the Poke Tacos and while they were pretty good they where nowhere near as good as the Baja Tacos. The Black Bean soup was also delicious and unlike the regular black bean soup from Whole Foods, this one is actually spicy; however, do keep in mind that it is almost twice as much as the same sized soup from Whole Foods. They give you the medium sized cup that I think is approximately $6 at Whole Foods for $10. The beer selection is not great, but they pick up the slack with the cocktails which are pretty decent. The old school pinball machines are also a great addition. Menu is simplified and not bombarded with a million dishes. The bad: the staff seemed overwhelmed even though it wasn't even that busy at all, food definetely took longer than it should have but maybe that's because this place is still relatively new so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Bottom line: enjoy the food, order a cocktail or two and make sure you try the Baja Fish Tacos!!

These nachos were Amazing!! Loved every single bite. I was very impressed on the size of my order, thank goodness I was sharing It. But we still managed to take left overs home. Staff was efficient, not very talkative. We sat at the counter to strike up a conversation but they worked in silence. Our drinks were very good. I had a margarita and a beer. The place is new so It was spotless. Not yet sure what kind of vibe this will have. The outdoor seating was ready to be used but It was quite windy and brisk out. I would go back to try another item on their menu and hopefully their outdoor patio.
